• CFDA womenswear designers of the year, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler must be breathing a sigh of relief, as the sale of their line has been finalized. Through Permira, an investment group that has stakes in Hugo Boss and Valentino, Theory founders John Howard and Andrew Rosen bought 45% of Proenza Schouler. Permira will retain a minority stake in the company. Of the purchase, McCollough and Hernandez say: “We are thankful to VFG for giving us a start, and allowing us to get where we are today…There’s so much we’d like to accomplish and have found the perfect complement in John and Andrew to help us realize our dreams.” (Fashionologie)
