Vintage Vogue

Another successful hunt on eBay.
After I bought almost 200 copies of the vintage Vogue UK magazines from the seventies to nineties (here),
I found 50 copies of Australian VOGUE MAGAZINES from the eighties.
I was vrey excited!
Here are some of them.
I took some pictures of my beloved home which is full of cats.



I'm a cat in a human body myself.
I guess I'm a cattery cat rather than a wild cat.
I feel secure to surrounded by other cats at home.

back home

After 4 amazing, incredibly inspiring and simply wonderful days in Tokyo I have arrived back home. I am dreading the moment of unpacking all my stuff so I came here instead >.< I already have to get back to work on Tuesday but I want to post some pictures of Tokyo and especially of what I bought there tomorrow. Now I gotta go to bed, I got a pretty bad cold and I've been awake for over 20 hours now =.=.

Продолжаю выкладывать старые материалы. В этот раз один из тех, в честь кого этот блог получил свое название - Даррен МакКарти!!! Материал от 23 января 2009г.


Об автограф-сессии, которая состоится на сегодняшней игре в Грэнд Рэпидс:
- "Мне очень приятно вновь оказаться в Грэнд Рэпидс. С этим местом у меня связаны самые приятные воспоминания. Я думаю, что такие акции обязательно нужно проводить. Тем более, что скорее всего совсем скоро мне вновь предстоит поиграть за Гриффонов"

О восстановлении после операции:
- "Оперцию сделали уже пару недель назад, и чейчас я работаю по усиленно-восстановительной программе с отличным физиотерапевтом. Восстановление идет быстрее, чем мы предполагали. Я планирую приступить к ледовым тренировкам уже  в середине следующей недели. Потребуется еще какое-то время, чтобы окончательно набрать форму. После этого я, вероятно, проведу какое-то время в Гриффинс. С нетерпением жду возможности играть!"

Сравнение прошлогодних Гриффонов с нынешними:
- "Конечно, те игры много для меня значили - я окончательно почувствовал уверенность в себе именно в Грэнд Рэпидс. Но в этом сезоне команда изменилась и играет еще лучше. Много молодых талантливых ребят, при этом есть и опытные "зубры", такие как Дауни и Хайдар. В этом году играть за Гриффинов будет еще интеренсей!"

О Ред Уингз в текущем сезоне:
- "Большую роль в успешном выступлении играет, конечно, Конклин. Когда у Оззи возникли проблемы и Конкс оказался первым номером, он сыграл просто великолепно. Ну а еще один новый человек - Мариан Хосса - это тоже, конечно, нечто. Все и раньше знали, на что способен Хосса, но когда видишь все это, да еще и понимаешь, что он в твоей команде - это конечно здорово. В связке с Хэнком сейчас они смотрятся отлично. Ну а Дацюк - просто слов нет, чтобы описать его игру. Инопланетянин в НХЛ!!!
Еще обязательно стоит отметить, насколько продуманно все в системе Детройта - посмотрите, сколько молодых ребят сейчас в Гриффонах - два вратаря и почти два звена, которые в любой другой команде НХЛ играли бы в основе! Я считаю, что надежный "тыл" - залог успеха Крыльев на протяжении уже стольких лет"

О том, чем занимается в освободившееся из-за травмы время:
- "Конечно, неприятно быть столько времени снова вне игры, однако это дало мне шанс много времени провести с семьей - с женой, детьми, зверюшками ))) Главное, конечно, это то, что я какое-то время могу помогать своемы сыну - ему 12 лет и он, естественно, играет в хоккей. Очень, кстати, неплохо! Я думаю, наши совместные тренировки пошли ему на пользу. В середине февраля ему предстоит серьезный турнир, поэтому я очень рад, что смог помочь ему именно сейчас."
